Who am I?
I am a scientist and freelance writer, with a passion for sustainable food. I am happiest when trawling through a database or scientific papers to answer a question, or when growing/cooking/eating food – preferably food I’ve grown or foraged myself.
My qualifications also include a PhD in Agriculture, an MSc in Soil Science, a BSc in Biology, an NVQ in land-based operations (hedgelaying, coppicing etc.) and a chainsaw license. I also make pretty awesome cakes.
Why this site?
This site covers current issues in the world of food production, the science behind the topics, and resources to enable you to eat healthily and sustainably. In short, I aim to make this the site I’d go to for information when I needed it.
